Strong acting of grandparents in 'The House'

Press SHIFT and then CLICK mouse to DOWNLOAD.. This episode shows very strong acting of Grandpa and Grandma Walton. In this clip they are discussing the demolition of the Whitley House.
Grandma says: I have such memories of the dances and the parties there.
But Grandpa's memory fails and he says: O sure, I was there lots of times.
Grandma wants to remember him: We went dancing there when we first started courting, have you forgotten that?
But he still doesn't remember and brings up something else: Well, I shook a leg at most every dance of the county one time or another, you can’t expect me to remember them all !!
This isn't good enough for Grandma and she tells on about the house: It was part of my growing up. And I used to go by that house every day on my way to school when I was a little girl.
John-Boy starts to smile when Grandma says that... Yes John-Boy, I was the girl once!
She continues her plea: And I used to look up to that high window with all that coloured and stained glass. It just seemed so high, above the clouds, above everything!
And I used to wonder what Walton’s Mountain would like through that window.

Grandpa only thinks of all that good wood that is inside the house.
But Grandma "threatens" him by saying that he has to do without the wood and that:
The ladies of the Rockfish Historical Society are on the march!!!
Grandpa now "trembles with fear" and says (laughing): Isn’t that a weather and thought?

The accompanying music is from the next scene where Jason is at the conservatory and listens to the radio that plays music of Haydn.

Mr. Johnson asked John-Boy to write an editorial article (his first) about the Whitley House. But John-Boy isn't very pleased with it because he knows that his grandparents are opposite to each other in their opinions about the Whitley House.

In this clip the family just received the issue of the newspaper and John-Boy reads out the article to his parents and grandparents who sit at the table.

Because they can’t find the sheet music of the Haydn part that they have to play Jason and his class-mate Hollis play the music Jason got from his grandmother instead: The Hills of Virginia!
Jason plays his acoustic guitar and Hollis the violin. His grandmother, who is in the audience, gets some tears in her eyes because the song reminds her of times gone by.
At the end of the episode Grandpa asks if his wife would come to their bedroom upstairs.
There she sees that Grandpa has put the stained glass window of the Whitley House in their bedroom window. And at the sight of that window romantic thoughts from the past were coming up and they start to dance while Jason plays on the piano downstairs.
